Dawn at Bear Rocks, on the Allegheny Front looking east toward Washington, DC., some 100+ nautical miles away. This is the high country of the middle-eastern United States. Here many wonderful poignant and significant and beautiful life experiences have molded, directed and sculpted my life. Here I have loved my children, friends, and met other pilgrims searching for beauty. Here my oldest son's ashes are scattered. Here moments of the most profound sorrow and exhilarating joy have occurred.
